What is a Visa on Arrival?
Visa on Arrival (VOA) is given to foreigners who are nationals of a country, the government of a special administrative region of a country, and certain entities subject to a free visit visa on arrival for special tourism which is determined based on statutory regulations to stay in the territory of Indonesia. Granted for a maximum period of 30 (thirty) days which can be extended for a maximum of 1 (one) time extension for a period of 30 (thirty) days at the Immigration Office whose working area includes the residence of the foreigner and cannot be transferred.

If you plan to stay in Indonesia for more than 30 days, you can choose to get the Extendable VOA which will cost you USD 35 per person, upon entry to the country.

Foreign nationals registering for this visa will cost 500.000 IDR.
How to get Visa on Arrival in Indonesia?
To obtain Voa, foreigners must show a nationality passport that is valid for at least 6 (six) months, return tickets or a ticket to continue traveling to another country, Covid-19 vaccination certificate (full dose) and proof of payment for Voa.
Foreigners can apply for Voa on Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) counter located before immigration check points in the arrival hall. They can pay with US Dollars and Rupiah, or request currency change first if unavailable. Visa on Arrival subject can extend the Voa for only once, it is valid for the next 30 days. Extension is carried out at any immigration office that is closed to where the foreigner lives.
